- road bends to the right•WAYS OF DOING THINGS:Глагол to bend дает общее название действия - "сгибать, гнуть, гнуться" и не указывает ни на то что или кто это действие производит, ни на то, как это действие производится. Для уточнения характера, субъекта, цели сгибания глагол to bend требует уточняющих сочетаний, как например: to bend down - наклоняться, to bend over smb, smth - склоняться над чем-либо, кем-либо. Для конкретизации действия сгибания используется ряд других глаголов, в значение которых включен компонент, указывающий на то, как, кем или для чего это действие произведено.
